Blog 7: Changes to my career
Well, since I entered college when the pandemic started, I don't really have the experience of college life. Even so, there are some things that are always critical and that should be changed.
The main one is the subject of credits given by general training courses and electives for basic training. The title of journalist depends on these credits, since you have to take many of these electives during the career and it is only more academic load that does not influence too much in what we must learn to be professionals. I think they should lower the number of these credits.
There are also bouquets in the mesh that are filler, in which I and my colleagues have come to the conclusion that we have not learned anything important for our training.
That is what I dislike the most and that I think could be improved. In infrastructure I think it is good and the main (and most important) subjects are well focused on what we need for our training as journalists. I suppose that when I have face-to-face classes I will notice more situations that need to be improved at the infrastructure level and at the management level. But at the moment it's just that I can talk about.

Hi Rena<3 I agree a lot with you, the basic training branches should not be mandatory. You can be the best reporting, but if you don't understand something philosophical you can be a year late, it's sad :(
ResponderBorrarHi Rena! I agree with you, we have too many theory courses and I don't think we need that much to learn how to think critically.
ResponderBorrarHi Rena! I think that we need to change a lot of things in our career. But the issue with credits it's one of the principal points.

Hi Renata. I think that the things that you say are correct and almost all the persons that comment you share. There are courses in our career that does not make sense or not have much importante in the develop like journalists. That probably would change in a future.
ResponderBorrarI also agree with you, the credits are going to drive me crazy. I hope that none of us have problems with them.
